Introducing Peak Wellness Physical Therapy

Updated: Jul 26

I started Healthy Hustle in 2020 with the goal of providing my community with tools to stay active and lead healthy lifestyles during their busy lives that I’ve learned and lived as a personal trainer. I’m continuing this mission with my expanded knowledge as a Doctor of Physical Therapy by re-branding my company to Peak Wellness Physical Therapy. We offer higher quality healthcare for women to regain strength, balance, and joy in movement, celebrating each step towards recovery and resilience.

5 Facts You Didn’t Know About Physical Therapy

1. Each year, half of all Americans over the age of 18 will develop a musculoskeletal injury that lasts longer than three months (according to this resource). That’s more than a hundred million people who could benefit from seeing a physical therapist.

2. Only 10% of people who need physical therapy ever receive services.

3. Many patients with chronic conditions are no longer covered by insurance or are severely limited by the amount of physical therapy that is covered by insurance.

4. Many patients have a $30–$50 copay per in-network visit. Most in-network PT clinics want to see patients two to three times per week. They could pay $90 per week or more in copays to see a PT who may be seeing 1-3 other patients during the same time slot, or they could see me once per week for highly personalized treatment and better outcomes for only a little bit more.

5. Most insurances only cover physical therapy after an injury or condition has occurred and stops coverage as soon as it is healed. I focus on all aspects of the health journey from injury prevention, injury rehabilitation, and maintenance programs after rehabilitation to optimize recovery.
